easyJet holidays' Top travel bloggers from 2011

Really good travel blogging is something of an art form, writing about the destination you're in and creating a story of your own in a new location is exciting and fulfilling for those who do it.

Some of the team's favourites for 2012 were covered a previous post, but here are the easyJet holidays blog Top travel blogs from the last year.

Here are the blog team's top bloggers in 2011:

Sheryll Renata of Wanderlust Project (www.thewanderlustproject.com)

Ever wanted to quit your 9-5 job and see the world? That’s exactly what Sheryll did, as she left LA with boyfriend Johnny in tow and took in the sights of Thailand, Paris and London, amongst others, during 2011 and now into 2012. Not only does she write honestly about her travels but she also gives great advice on packing.

Paul Corbett from MyPostcardFrom.com (www.mypostcardfrom.com)

One of our blogs to watch for 2012, Paul Corbett has been doing his rounds (around the globe!) for around 10 years, so is very much an old pro on the travel blogging scene. His blog is slick, full of great stories from 2011, and he's been awarded a number of blogger badges by the easyJet holidays blogging team.

Dany and Jess of Globetrotter Girls (www.globetrottergirls.com)

Real-life couple Dany and Jess are no strangers to travel. Join them as they cover the globe, including recent trips to Lisbon and Paris, and read how one city can remind you of another that’s thousands of miles away. They’ve been on the road since May 2010 so they know their stuff.

Nateniale's travels with Nateniale (nateniale.blogspot.com)

Malaysian blogger Nateniale wowed us with her photographs of Rome's ancient sites this year, and was featured in the Top travel blogs of September. Little did we know just how busy she was, since checking in on her we've fallen in love all over again with her photographs of other Italian beauties Naples, ancient Pompeii and the Vatican. Check out Nat's blog for some pretty amazing photographs.

Sophie of Sophie's world (www.sophiesworld.net/11-best-of-sophies-world-2011)

Here Sophie presents her own round up on her blog. Another travelling parent, Sophie's highlights include many trips she has taken with her children. We picked Sophie's travels because of her passionate inclusion of her children in her travelling - she even notes that one of her daughters was just 11 weeks (whilst Sophie herself was 11 years) old on her first flight.

Suzy Guese of SuzyGuese.com (www.suzyguese.com)

Suzy puts the fire into travel with her red-head reports, which have included Mexico, Ireland, Italy and Denmark in 2011. Look out for her travel anecdotes (annoying people you meet at the airport, anyone?) and hotel feedback.

Debra and Liz of Bagni di Lucca (www.bagnidilucca.wordpress.com)

Friends who both bought apartments in this gorgeous part of Tuscany, Italy, the Bagni di Lucca blog follows the world of expats Debra and Liz. Learn about what it’s like to live abroad and to be right in the heart of the Alps, and follow them on day trips to Naples, Milan and Bologna.

Stuart, Kirstie and the kids at Family on a bike (www.familyonabike.org)

The easyJet holidays blog caught up with the Pelling family on their unconventional family holiday to Budapest and Vienna in 2011. The Family on a bike blog takes travel blogging to the extreme, and with three children in tow there's always something exciting going on!

Karen Bryan of Europe A la Carte (www.europealacarte.co.uk/blog)

Whether its the top things to do, sights, eats or a mystifyingly thorough city guide, Karen Bryan is on board and ready for a challenge. Hats off to you Karen you've been a shining star in 2011.

Amanda of Amanda Blog and Kiss (www.amandablogandkiss.com)

Most of the action in 2011 took place in Amsterdam, straight from the hilarious point of view of Amanda Perino. Tiny things are a recurring theme on the blog, and this is what made Amanda one of our favourites in 2011. Her site is looking great too, after a recent move from wordpress to '.com'.

To those of you who don't already have one of the easyJet holidays badges, here is your seal of approval from the blog team. Well done on a fantastic year in travel blogging!
