'The first time you see a turtle scuba diving, you'll be amazed by its eyes. Not as cold or snakelike eye as one might expect.'
Dive centre manager for Emperor Divers and Oceans Red Sea in Marsa Alam, Luke Atkinson explains his love for the scaly green inhabitants of the Red Sea:
I remember the first time I saw a turtle, I was scuba diving and my jaw just dropped (I almost lost my mouthpiece!). There is a warmth and an inquisitiveness in those eyes; he was looking at me and I, with delight, at him. I've been hooked on turtles since.
